The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed a law that prohibits the sale of alcohol in a large plastic bottle containers. The document is available on the official portal of legal information.
The law provides for amendments to the administrative code. From January 1, 2017, prohibits the production and circulation (except retail sale) of alcoholic products in plastic containers larger than 1.5 liters, and from 1 July of the same year prohibited the retail sale of such products.
The penalties for the production and sale of alcohol in plastic bottles for legal persons is from 300 thousand to 500 thousand rubles, for officials — from 100 thousand to 200 thousand rubles.
Earlier it was reported that the Federation Council approved a law that seeks to limit the production and retail sale of alcoholic beverages in plastic bottles larger than 1.5 liters in 2017.
