Because of the drought in 2015, many services of the Republic of Buryatia was left without the harvest of fodder and grain crops. The situation could be repeated in 2016, so in some areas forage harvesting campaign has already started.

Already, there is soil drought, respectively, the number of regions will announce the status of the emergency. Kurumkanskogo, Barguzin, part mukhorshibirskiy, part giganskogo, Selenginsky district, Tarbagatai, zaigraevo, Khorinsk, Kizhinginsky districts - those where the observed soil drought, — said Andrey Badmaev, head of the Department of plant, mechanization and modern technology of the Ministry of agriculture and food of Buryatia.

Most of the work for fodder in the Republic will begin in late July. According to the plan, in Buryatia should be stored 824 thousand tons of roughage. In 2016, the strap is purposefully inflated by almost three times to compensate for last year's loss in 2015 due to drought and harvested only 39 percent of the needs of the entire region.
