Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will visit the Astrakhan oblast, where he will hold a meeting on the seasonal agricultural work. As reported in the press service of the government of the Russian Federation, the meeting will be held in videoconference mode with participation of heads of some regions.

"The planned live broadcasts from the Republic of Tatarstan, Altai, Orenburg region," — noted in the Cabinet.

Also on this day the Prime Minister will meet with members of the agricultural sector in Astrakhan region.

The Prime Minister has repeatedly said that, despite the difficult situation in the economy, the government will not reduce support for farmers.

"I always say that the village is not touch ladies. Because in recent years we have made tremendous progress. I feel a sense of pride from the way we develop agriculture", — said the Prime Minister at the meeting with activists of "United Russia", which took place on 9 August in the Krasnodar region.

The Prime Minister noted that some officials come to him with proposals to reduce the program of support of agriculture to 10% in the current economic climate. Thus D. Medvedev considers that this cannot be done in any case.

"The main thing now is not to slow down. That is why we will continue the implementation of the program in full", — he stressed.
