The government on Thursday, the fifth day of the purchasing interventions, and purchased from farmers of the Crimea 7,155 thousand tons of grain, nearly 71 million rubles, according to the Crimean stock exchange.

This volume of grain is 1.8 times the figure recorded at the auction a week ago.

In the auction on 15 September was attended by 20 companies concluded 8 transactions.

Most purchased wheat of the 4th class of 5.26 tons 54,34 million. Procurement of wheat 5-go a class was 1.89 tons of 16.63 million.

The average price of wheat of the 4th class were Thursday 10,32 thousand rubles per ton, wheat of 5th class - 8.8 thousand rubles per ton.

The first auction within the framework of the purchasing interventions on the grain market of the crop of 2016 was held in the Crimea on August 19.

The result is five trading days the government bought from farmers from the Crimean Peninsula of 22.84 thousand tons of wheat of the 4th class 225,5 million rubles, 18,25 thousand tons of wheat of the 5th grade 99.5 million rubles, and of 2.43 tonnes of barley 19.4 million.

As reported, this year Crimean agrarians harvested about 1.5 million tons of grain and can sell to the state Fund for agricultural year (July 2016 - June 2017) to 100 thousand tons.

In the last marketing year (July 2015 - June 2016) procurement intervention in the Crimea also began on 19 August. They were held until 17 March 2016. According to the Crimean stock exchange, during this period, was purchased almost 66,8 thousand tons of wheat to 645 million roubles.

The mechanism of procurement (procurement by the state grain) and commodity (selling grain from the state intervention Fund) intervention operates in Russia since 2001. It is aimed at the stabilization of prices on the grain market and support agricultural producers. When prices fall, the government removes excess grain from the market in order to stop its depreciation, with a sharp rise in prices - is selling grain from the state Fund and thereby stops its rise in price.

This year, the Ministry of agriculture has approved a minimum price for procurement interventions on the wheat of the 3rd class 10.9 thousand rubles per ton, wheat of 4 class - 10.4 thousand rubles. The price of wheat of the 5th grade is 8.8 thousand rubles, rye - 7.4 thousand rubles, barley - 8 thousand roubles and for maize - 7.9 thousand rubles per ton.

Currently in the state intervention Fund has about 3.3 million tons of grain (more than 28.7 billion rubles), purchased during the previous trading session.

It is planned to start in September the purchase of intervention in the Volga region, Siberia and the Urals.
