"I think that those who in recent years left the Russian market after the lifting of the embargo will not be easy to come back. Of course, this will largely depend on the level of competitiveness of Russian goods, which is determined primarily by the ratio of price and quality", — said V. Evtukhov.

The Russian manufacturers actively have replaced foreign products for key products, e.g. dairy products, vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, prepared foods, bread and bakery products, said V. Evtukhov.

In the first half of 2016, the share of imported food in the shops has decreased compared to the same period of 2014, in fact, one - third to 23%. In many networks, the increased presence of imported food products decreased to 5-10%, said the expert.

The food embargo was introduced by Russia in August 2014 in the EU countries, USA, Canada, Australia and Norway in response to economic sanctions.
