In the spring of this year, the Finance Ministry has prepared a bill providing for the special marking of goods with control (identification) signs.

The list of goods that fall under the act, must approve the government. Currently, in all countries of the EAEU has a system of mandatory labelling of fur products. However, the entrepreneurs expressed concern that the introduction of RFID tags for food will rise in price of goods and the supply disruptions in connection with the costs of producers to equip businesses with special devices for marking, and retailers and carriers - in scanners for reading labels.

The position was supported by entrepreneurs and the Expert Council under the government, according to which the introduction of labeling of food products can lead to the disappearance from the market of cheap food, as the cost tags can be comparable to the cost of the goods themselves.
