The Sakhalin oblast government invites Chinese business cooperation in various sectors of the economy, in particular, to participate in the project on creation in region of a fish cluster, reported the press service of the Sakhalin government on Friday.

"These proposals was voiced by the Governor of the Sakhalin region Oleg Kozhemyako, speaking at the second meeting of the cooperation Council between the regions of the Russian far East and northeast China," — said in the message.

According to the press service, the partners from China are invited to join the project in the framework of fisheries logistics and processing center, which is created in the port of Korsakov, which recently received the status of a free. There are planned large-scale construction of industrial, warehouse, engineering infrastructure, workshops for the Assembly and repair of ships and administrative buildings.

The Sakhalin authorities are ready to participate Chinese business in projects on deep processing of fish, marine culture, particularly seaweed, on the shore of Sakhalin with the aim of further deliveries of products to all world markets, primarily in Asia. Earlier it was reported that in the framework of the project Sakhalin fish exchange in Korsakov will be created a logistics center with large refrigerators and ship-repair workshops. Project cost – about 13 billion rubles.
