"Rosselkhoznadzor instructed its territorial offices on agreement with the territorial bodies of the interior Ministry, the PS of the FSB, Federal customs service of Russia, Rostransnadzor joint action plans involving round-the-clock monitoring of movement of motor transport with the products, subject to veterinary and quarantine phytosanitary control", – stated in the message.

This is done to prevent illegal shipments of prohibited to import products in the Russian Federation, and also in connection with the expected increase in the volume of their imports in anticipation of new year holidays, according to the Agency.

Controls will be carried out on lines crossing the Russian-Belarusian and Russian-Kazakh sections of the state border of the Russian Federation, leading to the major city regions and on roads passing near the large cities.
