Cheaper Altai consumers costs also fresh cabbage (the 11.04 RUB/kg), onion (17,92 RUB/kg), carrots (18,70 RUB/kg) and apples (85,15 RUB/kg), these products in the rankings to 2nd place. In the third place, the region came at a minimal cost of milk drinking integral pasteurised 2,5-3,2% fat (45,84 RUB/l), fat cottage cheese (274,74 RUB/kg).

"At the end of November of the current year the index of food prices in the region amounted to 100.5% compared to the previous month. According to this indicator, the Altai region is among five regions of Siberia with minimum values noted in the regional Department for entrepreneurship and market infrastructure", – said the officials.

In September 2015 the retail cost of the "borsch set" in the region were mentioned: 1 kg of fresh cabbage sold, on average 17,83 RUB, potato – 17, and 21 rubles/kg onions – RUB of 23.55, carrot – 28,13 rbl./kg, red beets – 28,74 RUB/kg.
