Set of products for the new year table for the average Russian family of four people gathered to celebrate in 2017, will cost 5585 rubles, calculated by Rosstat. This is 3.6% higher than a year ago.

In both capitals, the celebration will cost a bit more. Separately experts of statedata felt kind of indices Olivier and herring under a fur coat, which are traditionally the decoration of the Christmas table. Given the fact that some of the ingredients of festive salads much cheaper, their preparation now will cost about the same amount as in 2015.

How much for the New year? To this question decided to answer the specialists of the Federal state statistics service, which calculated the price of a holiday table based on a conditional set of products for a family of four. At the celebration, representatives of statedata "purchased" sausages and meats, canned fish and delicatessen, caviar, chicken, beef, oranges, beverages, sparkling wine, domestic production and even Russian brandy, candy, etc. Certainly, not without the traditional decoration of the table – salad Olivier and herring under a fur coat.

It turned out that the national average new year's feast will cost 3.6 percent more than last year, 5585 rubles. In Moscow the set of products for the holiday increased in price by only 2.8%, but its cost is 6863 ruble. In Saint-Petersburg is 5.5% and 5904 rubles respectively. Relatively low and generally below the overall inflation index "the Christmas table" due to the fact that the products in 2016, almost did not grow in the price, and some were cheaper. For example, of the 28 positions that the experts included in the holiday set for the year fell by six. Most of all – fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, which were worth less than 31.6% and 28.8%, respectively.

Now traditionally, the main dishes of the table – Olivier and herring under a fur coat. Indexes both salads were increased compared to the previous year. But if Olivier rose 1.8%, to 310 rubles, herring under a fur coat – by 3.7%, to nearly 155 rubles. The main contribution to the growth of "index salads" made mayonnaise (rose 8.6%) and herring (6.2 percent). A large part of the ingredients for both dishes fell, especially carrots (minus 15.2 percent) and onions (minus 15.4 per cent).
