The largest increase in production of agricultural products for the last 5 years showed the peasant (farmer) economy of region (1.3 times). In 2015, their share in the structure of agricultural production increased by 1.2 times the 2011 level.

Output of crop production increased over the last five years by 4.2% and livestock production – by 3.9%. Altai Krai maintains a leading position among the subjects of the Siberian Federal district and the Russian Federation on indicators of development of livestock and crop production.

The average volume of production of grain and leguminous crops in the region over the past five years amounted to more than 3.7 million tons - the 5th place among the regions of the Russian Federation and the 1st place among the regions of Siberian Federal district.
