According to the expert of the dairy market, Director of consultancy, Marina Petrova, state support of the dairy industry was delayed, so the price increase doesn't affect you. According to experts, last year the production of milk-raw material was reduced in 4 times. In addition, Russia continued the downward trend in the number of cattle. Besides, his job was done by inflation and increasing energy prices – all that's led to the fact that in the middle of fall of prices for raw milk grew by 3.5% in comparison with 2015. All this is reflected in the price of dairy products on the shelves. So, the price of milk has increased almost by 8%, butter went up in price by 17%, cheese increased in price by 10%.

According to Petrova, the only positive of 2016 was the fact that in Russia there is a positive trend of development of farming. Farmers managed to occupy the niche of expensive milk products on which an embargo.
