Indicators for food safety are not observed in 5-7% of cases, said the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova at the Congress of "United Russia".

"We see over the last 25 years that the number of products on the shelves enough, the range is sufficient, safety performance is the only performance, which today are in Russia — they are observed, are not observed in the range of 5-7%, "—said Popov.

She noted that there remains the problem of product quality, because since 2010, the Standards are not mandatory.
