On the island of Taiwan a new outbreak of bird flu. According to the quarantine for animals and plants, this is the 13th virus epidemic from the beginning.

Now on a farm in Yunlin County, where they found the virus, disinfect, chickens and turkeys destroyed. Since the beginning of the year in Taiwan has scored more than 130 thousand poultry.

A few days ago the disease was discovered at one of the local residents. Authorities promise to prevent the further spread of the disease.

"This virus is causing great concern, not only because of possible contamination. We do not want to repeat the fate of South Korea, where local authorities over the past three months had to destroy 33 thousand birds", — said the Director of quarantine for animals and plants of Taiwan Huang, TSE-Chung.

Meanwhile, in neighboring China since the beginning of December 2016 has already recorded 100 cases of infection of people, 20 of them fatal.
