If women farmers get equal access to resources, agricultural productivity increases by 20-30%.

Despite the fact that the share of women in agriculture globally is 43%, often their labor is classified as unpaid family labour.

Women's contribution remains unrecognized, and they lack access to rural services enjoyed by their male colleagues, says the FAO.

Now FAO is actively implementing a project to promote women's equal access to rural services, including recruitment and organization of services in agricultural extension with a gender perspective.
