The Minister said that the meeting in St. Petersburg on 3 April was discussed the establishment of a joint breeding and genetic centers. This work will be carried out in order to reduce the import of breeding production.

"In European countries there is a very serious problem on the epidemic situation there is avian influenza, African swine fever, bluetongue and other diseases. It is unsafe for our state, so we need to preserve the achievements in the livestock sector", — he stressed.

Breeding and genetic centres can be established on the basis of the scientific enterprises of the two countries. It is planned that these will be the centers in areas such as dairy cattle, pigs, broiler production.
