In Yaroslavl region there is a work on creation of the aquaculture complex, said the representative of the regional government. In particular, "the Institute of Agroecology and Biotechnology (Inarabia") implements the project of construction of industrial complex for the production of marble cleavage catfish in recirculation aquaculture systems. The design capacity of 1.5 thousand tons of live fish per year. The volume of investments will reach RUB 291 million, completion scheduled for the third quarter of 2019.

"Poshehonsky fishery" plans to create a complex industrial-type farming 500 tonnes of commodity trout and whitefish fish species (Salmonidae family). Project with a total investment of RUB 484 million should provide the plant with raw materials. Start of production is scheduled for late 2020.

Michael KFKH Atamanova in 2013 implementing the project of cage cultivation of rainbow trout and sturgeon. From 2017 the farm plans to increase the production of trout from 10 t to 30 t and to start raising fish whitefish species.
