Representatives of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation and Venezuela held a meeting dedicated to the expansion of bilateral supply of agricultural products. During the meeting Venezuela expressed interest in export to Russia cocoa beans, coffee and coffee beans and bananas, citrus and other exotic fruits.

Russia gave the Republic about the procedure of import and export of goods into the territory of the Eurasian economic Union.

Previously, a similar agreement between the two countries was signed on the Russian wheat. It prescribes requirements phytosanitary legislation in Venezuela and security products.

For 2016, the trade turnover between the two countries increased more than 40 times from 2015. Russia has put more soybean oil is 96.3% of the total turnover, while Venezuela exported to Russia 44,5% alcohol and 52.9% of the cocoa beans.
