Nut nursery, unique for Russia, the number of rare varieties and technologies of crop produce, has opened in the village of Dinskoy district, Staromyshastovskaya, Krasnodar Krai. This was reported to journalists the General Director of LLC "Scientific-production Association nut crops Noosphere" that implements the project, Dmitrii Snytko.

"Our company has created a unique for the country and the region nursery. Nursery area of 5.6 hectares Here are collected the rare varieties of the Kuban and the world selection - more than 20 types (only) hazelnuts, also planted rare varieties of walnuts", said Snytko.

The agreement on the establishment of the nursery was signed last year at the International investment forum "Sochi-2016".

The volume of investments in the project makes 1 billion roubles. It is planned to create in the course of the project about 100 jobs.

According to Snytko, 4-5 years after the opening of the nursery, the company plans to split in Dinskoy district the walnut orchard on an area of 1 thousand hectares, and after another 4 years to first commercial harvest.

"The volume of production during the first crop will be roughly 3 thousand tons, in the form of annually 1.5 times due to the results of scientific work and the growth of the acreage. After the beginning of the project on the mainland area (crops) will annually grow by about 1 thousand hectares," - said the head of the company.

He said that the company's products will be supplied to all regions of Russia and in European countries.

"We plan to supply Europe, because in Europe there is a shortage of such products (nuts - approx TASS) in volume (about) 200 thousand tons (annually)", - said Dmitry Snytko.

XV international investment forum "Sochi-2016" was held from 29 September to 2 October. Krasnodar Krai together with Recongress co-hosted the forum. As told journalists the Vice-Governor of Kuban Andrei Box, the area of plantations of nut crops in the Krasnodar region in five years can grow from 2 thousand to 10 thousand hectares.

He explained that the economic effect from the gardens of the nut is higher than from other crops.
