This was stated by the Director of the Department of plant growing of the Ministry of agriculture Pyotr Chekmarev at the meeting in the Federation Council.

"It should be noted that in the past year, though, and received a record harvest in recent years – 120 million tonnes of gross harvest, but lost, according to our calculations, in the range of 10 million tons of grain due to the fact that there was a shortage of combine harvesters", — said P. Chekmarev.

According to him, the average load on the combine harvester in Russia is 476 hectares. "highest load in the Volga Federal district, in the Urals, where more than 500 hectares load on one processor. This, of course, will result in substantial loss at harvest", — said P. Chekmarev.
