The Minister noted that the introduction of labeling is hampered by the complicated procedure of harmonization of the relevant technical regulations of the EEU, in particular, with Belarus.

"Bill (the introduction of labelling of products with palm oil – ed.) have not been, we are still working, as, according to the rules of the EEU member who we are, that technical regulations should be supported by all five States. Frankly, that is not easy approval, agreement, there are positions for, against. But I really hope that next year will be the rule for the manufacturer on the label to inform the buyer about the fact that this dairy product contains vegetable fats. And then the buyer will have to make a choice, make a decision", — said Alexander Tkachev in the framework of SPIEF-2017.

The Minister stressed that the negotiations on the introduction of labeling for a long time coming with Belarus and Armenia. "I hope that we will find consensus", he added.
