The Minister noted the positive growth of agricultural production in the region.

"I know that in the I quarter of 2017 in the Udmurt Republic is maintained positive dynamics of agricultural production. Growth exceeded 2%. This year, the Ministry of agriculture has sent 1.2 billion rubles from the Federal budget on state support of agriculture of the Republic of Udmurtia. I am sure that this will help to keep the achieved growth in several areas", — said Alexander Tkachev.

In 2016, the Republic of Udmurtia collected 542 thousand tons of grain (+2%), 227 tonnes of vegetables (+2%), produced 180 thousand tons of cattle and poultry for slaughter in live weight (+4%), 983 million eggs, 735 thousand tons of milk (+2%), and milk yield per 1 cow made up 5.7 thousand kg (102 kg).

Alexander Brechalov informed the Minister about the implementation of the regional program "Million tons of milk by 2020 in the Udmurt Republic" and announced that the country plans to implement the project on construction of a dairy plant with a total value of 2.9 billion rubles, and the enterprise, as well as the project for the production of high quality organic agricultural products worth 3.6 billion rubles.
