The sides discussed the development of Russian-Algerian relations in the agricultural sector and issues related to the provision of mutual access of agricultural products to the markets of the two countries.

The Russian side expressed interest in increasing supplies of grains on Algerian market, as well as prompt solution of the question of establishing export of livestock products. In turn, the Algerian side expressed readiness to supply to Russia of dairy products, including cheese.

For 5 months of the current year the mutual trade in agricultural products and foodstuffs between the countries increased by 26% compared to the same period in 2016 and has made about 100 million dollars.
