Members of the government of the Novosibirsk region at a meeting on Monday approved the allocation of 8,5 million rubles for the prevention of African swine fever virus (ASF) in the region, which borders with the Omsk region, where in July an outbreak of African swine fever, the press service of the regional government.
"Funding will be directed to the acquisition of the necessary diagnostic and disinfectants and equipment for timely detection and elimination of foci of the virus in the region. Funds will be allocated from the reserve Fund of the government of the Novosibirsk region", — are reported words of the chief of regional management of veterinary science of Oleg Rozhkov.
However, the meeting approved the decree on hunting of wild boars in the area with a width of 10 km along the border with the Omsk region.
