The state will provide for co-financing from regional and Federal budgets, to RUB 78 million allocated under the "uniform subsidy" to the reimbursement of expenses on purchase of elite seeds and 156 million rubles for the provision of support to vegetable seeds, corn, sunflower and sugar beet, reported in a press-service of the regional Ministry of agriculture.

The short-term task – to bring the share of domestic seed crops all crops a minimum of 70%, said Vice-Governor of Kuban Andrei Box.

Priority culture in this direction – the sugar beet. This year, agrarians of Krasnodar region has increased the area of beet crops of the local seed of up to 2.5 thousand hectares, and last year the figure was 80 hectares.

Hybrids of domestic breeding of maize occupied 35% of the total sowing area of sunflower – 32%, vegetables – 18%, soybeans – 91%. "We have a strong scientific and industrial base, which can significantly increase the volume of seeds of self-selection. It is important that the result was not on paper but in the fields", — said Andrei Box.
