Last week, Turkey's economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci said that Turkey will be forced to retaliate if Moscow does not remove trade restrictions on the supply of certain agricultural products.

"As envisaged in the statement of Deputy Prime Ministers — nothing is revised. Appropriate consultations will be held in the near future, but they will be initiated — that is, one should not expect that the decision will be made. I think that the first contacts over the next few weeks will be, on a whole range of issues, including for tomatoes" — said Gruzdev.

He stressed, in the framework of the agreements, the parties will discuss the situation, exchange of views. "We have a mechanism for the settlement restrictions", — he added.

As reported in late July, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, Russia and Turkey on 18 August in Izmir will hold its first comprehensive advice on a limited supply of Turkish tomatoes to Russia.
