The total demand for rough and succulent feed for the winter 2017-2018 is 31.6 million tons of fodder units or 18.0 quintals of feed units per conventional head. In the whole country for one conventional head harvested is 14.6 centners of fodder units or 81.4% of needs.

Forage harvested 22.7 million tons of fodder units (in 2016 21.1 million tons), including 12.3 million tons of hay, 9.1 million tons of haylage, 1.3 million tons of straw. Harvested 3.2 million tonnes of fodder units, succulents (94,8 % to the same level of 2016), including 3.1 million tonnes of silage, 30,2 thousand tons of fodder root crops.

Mass fodder comes in all Federal districts of the country.
