In a press-service of Rospotrebnadzor explained that "the Agency proposes the introduction of the criminal code of the Russian Federation article providing a criminal liability for manufacture, import into the country for the purpose of sale of adulterated food products and its implementation, as well as a separate article in the code of administrative offences providing for administrative liability for production for the purpose of sale, import to the territory of the Russian Federation for the purpose of sale or sale of counterfeit food products."
