The catch of sardines iwashi exceeded last year's figures doubled, and it increased to 15.2 thousand tons. As for the production of saury, the increase in the catch of this fish amounted to 43% 2016 (6.1 thousand tons).

But last week, the catches of mackerel in the waters of the Russian Federation has decreased. A catch on each of the two vessels not exceeding 20 tons per day. Part of Russian courts temporarily moved to other facilities, while five are working in the exclusive economic zone of Japan South of Hokkaido.

In General, the food situation is stable, experts say. The average Russian fishermen produce about 72 tons per day. The catch of mackerel will continue until mid-December, according to Fishretail.
