"By the end of 2016, the share of domestic producers on the domestic market amounted to about 30%. The challenge facing domestic manufacturers of food processing equipment, is to increase by 2030 the presence of modern Russian machinery and equipment for the food industry in the market to 62%. At the same time it is planned to focus on large-scale support exports with the aim of increasing supplies of domestic food equipment abroad 3.7 times the level of 2016. The priority markets for domestic food engineering, in addition to the markets of the CIS countries will be the countries of Africa and the Middle East, South America and Asia", - said the Minister of industry and trade of Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

It is expected that the implementation of the Strategy activities manufacture of machinery and equipment for food industry in Russia will increase in 2030 at a 3% annual rate of export growth will be 10%. This will cause a significant diversification of export routes through the development of new markets that will lead to a rise of exports outside of the CIS countries, whose share in 2030 will increase to 70%.

The experts of the Association "Rosspetsmash" believe that the Strategy will become the guiding framework for the development of the industry. Food engineering are able to demonstrate rapid growth, provided that all items reflected in the document, will be implemented.

In the near future the Ministry of industry and trade will hold a series of public discussions of the draft Strategy and agree on the document by the Ministry of agriculture, Ministry of economic development of Russia, FAS Russia, the Ministry of Finance, the largest industry organizations, unions and associations of producers and consumers of food engineering.

The strategy is to be submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation in December 2017.
