Russia and Belarus have agreed to develop the production of fish feed

A meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union state was held on 8 December in Gomel. The meeting adopted and signed a number of documents, the correspondent of Fishnews. Including the resolution "On the scientific and technical programme of Union state "Development of innovative energy-saving technologies and equipment for production and efficient use of contain airborne microorganisms in animal feed for valuable fish species, fur animals and certain species of animals" ("Feed-SG").

It is expected that the program will help to develop aquaculture and animal husbandry of Russia and Belarus, to reduce dependence on imported feed. Planned development of six innovative technologies and the creation of six prototypes of complete sets of equipment, the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation, when Russia approved a draft of the program.

As noted on the website of the Union state is expected to reduce the cost of feed for valuable fish species 10-15%, increase the weight gain of fish.

"The program will be financed from Union state budget and extra-budgetary sources," – said the press service of the Russian Cabinet.
