Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said that Russia is currently almost self-sufficient with food. It is reported by RIA "Novosti".
"We just became the largest grain exporters on the world market, we are virtually self-sufficient in foodstuffs with the exception of certain commodities, such as dairy products and fresh vegetables and fruits," — said Dvorkovich.
He also stressed that Russia could buy individual items of food products.
Earlier, the Minister of agriculture of Russia Alexander Tkachev said that the country will be able to completely replace imported food in the next 5-7 years.
