The government of the Penza region intend to increase meat production in the region almost doubled from 285 thousand tons to 500 thousand tons - by 2035. This was reported by TASS on Monday, the Deputy Chairman of Penza region government - Minister of agriculture Andrei Burlakov.

"Meat production we plan to go with 285 thousand tons this year by 500 thousand tons in 2035 due to an expansion of production sites" - said boatmen.

He said that the region has implemented several major investment projects in this direction. Earlier it was reported that the group of companies "Damate" will invest 15.5 billion rubles in the expansion of Turkey production to 155 thousand tons per year. According to the Director of GC Damate Rashid Hairov, by 2020, the company will increase the poultry production in 2,5 times. Another major investment project in the region realises GK "Cherkizovo" which plans to construct seven grounds for fattening pigs with a content of 280 thousand.

Another promising direction is to the sheep, said Andrei Burlakov. "If the production of poultry or pigs occurs indoors, and the impact of the external environment is minimal, the sheep is the open pasture, the weather factor here is having a significant impact. Now comes the process of discussion and study conditions classes of sheep in the region] for the investor", - concluded the boatmen.
