The cost of a set of products for the monthly consumption of a family of five in Venezuela in November of this year reached 13,88 million bolivars. Such data from the Center for documentation and social analysis of the Venezuelan Federation of teachers brought on Tuesday by the newspaper El Nacional.

According to the Center, for the month the consumer basket has risen by 150%, and from November 2016 to 2123%. To meet basic needs in November, Venezuelans had to spend more than two minimum monthly wages per day. In early November, after the fifth year of increase, its level reached 177,5 thousand bolivars. Earlier this month, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean reported that by the end of this year predicts a decline in GDP of Venezuela 9.5%. According to forecasts of the International monetary Fund of Venezuela's GDP this year will fall by 12%, and in 2018 - 6%.

Jose Guerra, head of the Finance Committee of the National Assembly (unicameral Parliament), believes that because of the actions of the authorities, in particular, to issue Fiat money inflation by the end of this year will exceed 2000%. In the IMF believe that in 2017, consumer price inflation in the country is expected to reach 652,7%, and in 2018 already 2349,3%.
