Farmers of North Ossetia in 2017 was able to purchase with the help of state 82 pieces of equipment that helped to reduce the shortage of agricultural machinery in the region and to avoid delays in the harvest, told TASS on Friday in the Ministry of agriculture and food of the Republic.

As previously reported, in 2016, the farmers of North Ossetia had problems with the completion of harvest of winter crops due to lack of equipment. In the ownership of the Republic no harvesting machines, they are farmers and are rented from the neighboring republics. In 2017 purchased by the farmers and harvesters assistance from neighbouring regions, allowed to harvest earlier than in previous years.

"State support measures allowed for in 2017, the farmers of the Republic to acquire the machinery and equipment in the amount of 82 units worth 146.7 million. Among them are harvesters, and tractors and other equipment," - said the representative of the Ministry.

He added that this season has been early to execute documents for rental of equipment for harvesting, which also helped to work on time.

According to the representative of the Ministry of agriculture of the region, lack of technology is not yet completely closed, is also required to replace obsolete machinery more effective. He did not specify how many more cars need to be purchased.

The grain harvest in North Ossetia in 2017 amounted to 621 thousand tons of winter and spring, which is almost 14 thousand tons more than last year.
