Agricultural Bank will invest about 14 billion rubles in the project of group of companies (GK) "Damate" to increase production of Turkey in the Penza region. About it on Monday have informed in a press-service GK.

"Agricultural Bank became a partner of the project of group of companies "Damate" on the creation of Europe's largest plant for the production and processing of Turkey. In the next stage of increasing the capacity of the project with 100 thousand tonnes to 155 tonnes a year the Bank will invest 13,95 billion rubles", - noted in press service.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Damate Rashid khayrov said that the plant will be equipped with artificial intelligence systems. "The equipment will allow to shorten the time from the beginning of cutting the cooled products prior to its dispatch to the consumer from 24 to eight hours", - quotes its words a press-service of the company.

In a press-service of the regional government earlier said that the plant, located in Nizhny Lomov area of the Penza region will open in the next two months. Design capacity is planned to reach by 2019.

Group of companies "Damate" is an agricultural company which is engaged in the cultivation and processing of turkeys, milk processing and dairy farming. Production facilities are located in the Penza and Tyumen regions. In 2016 the group of companies produced 74 thousand tons of Turkey in live weight (60,8 thousand tons in carcass), becoming the largest producer of Turkey meat in Russia. Until 2020 "Damate" plans to increase production of Turkey in two and a half times.

Currently the group of companies implements in the Penza region investment project worth 15,5 billion roubles for expansion of Turkey production to 155 thousand tons in slaughter weight per year. According to its results the company expects to enter the top ten world's largest producers of turkeys. Khairov previously announced that upon successful completion of the project in terms of production of Turkey will be the fourth in Europe and tenth in the world. Now "Damate" is in the top ten largest manufacturers in Europe.
