Russian scientists have made a breakthrough in the fight against pests of plants
Scientists from Tyumen state University in cooperation with the "Institute of highly pure biopreparations, FMBA of Russia" has conducted a study on the impact of a new synthetic peptide on bacterial cells.

In the course of the research was the small toxicity of synthetic peptide and its strong antimicrobial properties.

Scientists decided to use a modified antimicrobial peptide for plant protection.

"Phytopathogens (plant pests) acquire resistance to many known pesticides that once kept them under control," – said researcher of the Institute of environmental and agricultural biology X –BIO Tyumen state University Alexey Vasilchenko.

 

He also explained that this is a serious danger for modern agriculture, and harm to human health and the environment.
