In Rospotrebnadzor said that recently new and returning strains H5N1, H5N2 and H5N6 have struck Asia, Europe and the middle East. In addition, the Agency noted that there are signs of geographical distribution. "From the standpoint of health, the most dangerous to humans are strains of H7N9, H5N6, and H5N1", — experts underline.

"The current anapskaia cover all the continents. Killed about 120 million birds. In 68 countries experienced at least one outbreak of avian influenza. Strains such as H5N1, H5N2 and H5N8 are today a standard for these countries," — said in Rospotrebnadzor.

The Ministry said that the circulation of different virus subtypes complicates the control and elimination of outbreaks. From developing outbreaks of OIE (23 February 2018) said Taiwan, which has reported four outbreaks in poultry (chickens and geese) related to highly pathogenic avian influenza virus H5N2.
