Russia's first specialized vessel for catching crab laid in the shipyard "Pella" in the Leningrad region. This was reported on Friday a press-service Severo-the Western territorial administration Rosrybolovstva.

"Leningrad shipyard held the keel of the first specialized vessel for crab. This is the first specialized vessel, built in Russia. Before the ceremony the contract for the construction of the first production of the vessel was signed by JSC "Pella" and OOO "Antey", - stated in the message.

According to the press service, the length of the crabber will be more than 50 m, displacement - about 1835 tons. It is equipped with a conical traps Japanese style. The vessel is designed for demersal longline crab.

"Thanks to the mechanism of investment quotas laid down in the updated sectoral law, we had the opportunity to download our domestic shipyard and update the fishing fleet, which will significantly improve the efficiency of the fishery. As a result, we expect growth in economic returns of the sector and contribution to GDP of the country. I hope that fishermen will only increase that positive impact in the shipbuilding sector of Russia", - quotes the press service quoted the head of the Agency - the Deputy Minister of agriculture of Russia Ilya Shestakov, who took part in the ceremony of laying of the vessel.

 

Total investment quota will be built 33 fishing boats for fishermen in the North basin. The total declared investments amounted to 110 billion rubles, which exceeded the total investment in the fisheries complex of Russia, said the press service.

Leningrad shipyard "Pella" is a Russian shipyard in the town of Otradnoye of Leningrad oblast. Produce boats, fishing boats, multipurpose vessels of technical fleet for commercial customers and defense, as well as warships for the Navy of Russia.
