Functions of the Ministry of agriculture can be expanded through the creation in its structure of a single veterinary service. This was stated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin at the all-Russian forum of agricultural producers.

"On the veterinary service. I agree with you. I think that indeed the time has come to endow the Ministry of agriculture with additional authority and to create a coherent system, which in this direction would systematically worked. Why? Well, for interior, of course, our consumption, but it is equally important to work on foreign markets", - said Putin.

He noted that the product quality is extremely important when exporting to Asian countries. According to him, there are issues "requiring additional attention", also the export of grain."On all these issues we need to work on," he said.

He stated the need to develop a system of export support and promotion of agricultural products in foreign markets. "Selhozarteli [diplomatic missions of the Russian Federation] we have. It is necessary to develop this system. I know that in European countries they sit more or less useless. And where markets opened, where you need to work, these people not enough. Decided to expand this system across 14 countries, primarily those countries that represent our agricultural producers special interest", - said Putin.
