On Thursday TASS reported the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on economy of administration of Yelets area Alexey Klimov.

"Today in the village Cossacks "company Combiotech" began construction of plant for deep processing of corn, took place the ceremony of laying a capsule in marking the start of work. The plant invested 1 billion rubles, he will begin work in April-may 2019," - said Klimov.

According to him, in the village of Kazaki population of about 3 thousand people, for which the new plant will create about 150-200 jobs. "The plant will be built on the basis of the former Cossack starch and syrup plant, which has long been closed and now its new owner creates a modern production", - said Klimov.

As explained TASS the head of the Cossack rural settlements Dmitry Seed, the plant built on an area of 14 hectares, the equipment produced in China, with delivery expected in five months. The planned capacity of the first plant will be 150 tonnes per day of corn will produce, in particular corn starch, gluten, feed for animals and birds. At full capacity, the plant will be by 2022.
