Opening the conference, Dzhambulat Hatuov on behalf of the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev, welcomed the participants, noting that the mushroom cultivation is a promising, popular and an attractive investment direction of Russian agriculture.

"The first mushroom conference is a completely new format of dialogue between the authorities and business on the most actual problems of state support of industry", - emphasized Dzhambulat Hatuov.

Dzhambulat Hatuov said that in 2017 the Ministry of agriculture of Russia has supported 4 of the investment project for the construction of mushroom production complexes, in approving concessional loans in the amount of 5.4 billion rubles. After the release of the complexes on the design capacity, they will be able to produce about 25 thousand tons of mushrooms annually.

Dynamics of development in the mushroom industry, said the Director of the Department of plant, mechanization, chemicalization and plant protection Ministry of agriculture Pyotr Chekmarev, who made a report "On the status and development of mushroom production in the Russian Federation".
"The production of cultivated mushrooms in 2017 amounted to 16 thousand tons, which is 66 2% growth in 2016. The plan for 2018 is to reach indicators 38 thousand tons of mushrooms, constructing new growing systems and plants for the production of compost", - said Petr Chekmarev.

The Director of the Department of crop production noted that some regions (Moscow, Kursk, Leningrad, and Tula regions, Krasnodar Krai) is already actively involved in the growing of cultivated mushrooms, which greatly contributes to the promotion of competitiveness and serves as impulse for the active development of mushroom production in Russia.
The conference was also attended by member of the Committee on agrarian issues of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexey Sitnikov, President of the Association "Greenhouses of Russia" Arkady Muravyov, as well as heads and specialists of the mushroom production enterprises, representatives of scientific institutions, banking institutions, regional agricultural agencies.
