In the Belgorod region again recorded the virus of African swine fever. As reported by portal "agro-business", genome, laboratory confirmed African swine fever in wild boars from Novy Oskol district.

The animals were produced on the territory of hunting "Srubna", ZAO "prioskolie". Research Belgorod interregional veterinary laboratory has shown that wild boars were the carriers of the virus.

As already reported IA REGNUM, in January 2018, the African swine fever found in wild boars in hunting areas of Korochanskaya and Shebekinskiy district. In 2017, it was revealed several foci of the disease, including two large enterprises — in the workshop of the feeding branch of LLC "Tambov bacon" (GK "Rusagro") and on-site feeding "Ivica-2" company "Miratorg".

As reported by the portal "agro-business" President of the National Union of agricultural insurers the Roots Biggov until 2017 in the Belgorod region livestock enterprises use a state-supported insurance. But in 2017, the region refused insurance support for farmers, so now the producers of agricultural products "have to be insured fully at their expense".

Recall that wild boars are a major factor in the threat of the spread of ASF. The Rosselkhoznadzor believe that they can go to Belgorod forests from the territory of Ukraine, where the situation with African swine fever has been very unfavorable. The population of wild boars in the forests of the region exceeds the norm, so from the beginning of the year they shoot.
