"The first strawberries are already beginning to blush, days 5-6 will gather the harvest".

Viorel Gavrilita from Copanca village of Causeni district grow strawberries for the last four years.

"Seriously started in 2014. Before near the house planted in two beds. So the hobby turned into a business," said the landowner Viorel gavrilitsa.

Now Viorel strawberries planted almost two acres of land. The first berries ripen in greenhouses. The landowner uses three methods of growing strawberries.

"With microporous film is more expensive, but the result is exceptional. Gather the first harvest a week early. Due to the price return of investments," said the farmer Viorel gavrilitsa.

What this year to sell strawberries, Viorel has not yet decided. In previous years the cost of a kilogram reached one hundred lei.

"In previous years, the first strawberries were sold wholesale for 100 lei per kilogram. Short, only a few days. Then the price drops by 5, 10, 15 lei for every day. Greenhouse sold for 50 lei," said the landowner Viorel gavrilitsa.

The landowner expects this year to export strawberries abroad, first in Russia and then to European markets.
