Corporation of development of the Sakhalin region will receive more than 800 million rubles for the creation of a modern fish processing plant on the Kuril island of Kunashir. On Monday TASS reported the press service of the Corporation.

"Investment project of OOO PKF "South Kuril fish factory" is implementing with the support of the regional financial development institution assumes creation of the complex, which will process fish waste and fresh fish - sardines, mackerel in flour and fish oil used in the production of animal feed for fish in aquaculture. Total project cost - 1,083 billion. Of these, the own funds of the initiator of the project - 271 million rubles, the rest - investments of the Corporation of development of the Sakhalin region", - noted in press service.

According to the press service, the basis of a new plant for the production of fishmeal and fish oil in one of the oldest companies in the island region of the South Kuril fish factory, founded in 1946, will become two production lines. New high-tech equipment is able to process up to 504 tonnes of raw material per day during the peak period.

"The equipment will arrive on the island in August. By this time, will be basically completed the construction of the plant. The installation of the equipment is scheduled for September, and input of object in operation - in the second quarter of 2019," - said the press service.

 
Joint-stock company "Corporation of development of the Sakhalin oblast" was created in 2015. 100% owned by the government of the Sakhalin region. The authorized capital amounted to 50.2 billion rubles. The Corporation provides financial support for investment projects in the island region, including in small and medium-sized businesses. The minimum level of cost initiatives, which are taken into consideration, is 50 million rubles. Funding is allocated at rates of 0.5% per annum for projects in the agricultural sector and 5% per annum for other industries.
