Officials estimate, farmers of the Republic of Crimea in 2018 will gather 800 thousand tons of grain, which is twice less than last year. In 2016 in the Crimea were collected 1,447 million tons of grain, 104,7 thousand tons more than in 2015.

The Ministry said that the most significant damage suffered Pervomaisky district. "The sown area of Pershamajski district direct costs amounted to 81 million 621 thousand 113 roubles. In the Central district of the amount caused by the drought of the loss of over 58 million 388 thousand rubles, in the Soviet area - 13 million 161 thousand rubles, in Nizhnegorsky area direct costs amounted to 11 million 250 thousand rubles," - said the Minister.

Crimean authorities are preparing "a necessary package of documents to the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation for consideration and decision on the allocation of Federal budget funds" for the compensation to farmers for the damage caused to the drought.

Earlier, the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov reported that, according to preliminary estimates, the drought in the region has killed about 100 thousand hectares of crops, the damage is estimated at 1 billion rubles.
