Moldova will achieve the complete abolition of export restrictions on agricultural goods to Russia. As reported on Monday on its page inFacebookthe President of the Republic Igor Dodon, the issue he had discussed with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Gordeyev in Moscow.

"Said the most important task to be performed by the Moldovan side to achieve complete release of the supply of agricultural products from the Republic of Moldova to restore exports to pre-crisis level", - wrote the President.

Dodon also said his priority is the restoration of relations with Russia, which suffered after a series of demarches by the Moldovan government.

"I said that relations with Russia are a priority of the foreign policy agenda of the President of the Republic of Moldova, because this requires a significant portion of the population that trusts the President", - he wrote.

Relations between the two countries deteriorated after the government of Moldova in 2014 signed agreements on Association and a free trade zone with the EU, and Russia, fearing the re-export of European products, introduced the duties on Moldovan goods. In addition, due to the inconsistency of standards of safety of Russia has temporarily banned the import of fruit and vegetables from this country. However, in 2016, the Rosselkhoznadzor started to unlock the supply that they are under control of the Russian experts and only when there are contracts with importers in Russia.

For its part, the Pro-European government of Moldova has taken a number of anti-Russian demarches in 2017. Among them - the expulsion of diplomats, refusal of entry into the country of the Russian artists, cultural figures and journalists, the Declaration of persona non grata former Vice Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin. These steps are condemned Dodon, who plays for the restoration of the strategic partnership with Russia.

As stated earlier, the President of Moldova, Chisinau lost their former positions in the Russian market, and a full replacement of its economic interests in Europe and not found.
