The Ministry of agriculture of France took phytosanitary restrictions on melons and pomegranates from Uzbekistan, announced on 2 August, the press service of the Ministry of foreign trade of the Republic.

The decision was made in the framework of the VII meeting of the intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic cooperation. During his visit to France Minister of foreign trade of the Republic of Jamshid Khodjaev held talks with President of the world's largest fresh food market of Rungis L. Layani. The parties agreed to cooperate in the area of accreditation in order to promote Uzbek products.
