According to the Ministry of agriculture, harvested from 0.84 million tons of winter wheat and 0.19 million tonnes of winter rye, the 0.06 million tonnes of barley. Agrarians of the Republic began to harvest peas. The largest area of grain and leguminous crops harvested in Chistopol, Buinsk, Alexeyev, Sarmanovo and Tetyushi regions.

The leaders planned and grain yield are Zainsky, Sarmanovsky and Nurlatsky municipal regions of the Republic.

Earlier, the Minister of agriculture and food of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov reported that by the end of 2017, the farmers of the Republic received the highest over the past seven years, the grain yield is 5.2 million tons with an average yield of 34.2 kg per hectare.
