The Chechen Republic intends to export agricultural products to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. This was announced by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, on Wednesday at a meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers for development of agriculture.
According to him, the Republic plans to export organic agricultural products to other countries.
"For the last years in the Chechen Republic have done a tremendous amount of work in the agricultural sector, thus ensuring the sustainable development of agriculture <...> we already Have certain agreements for the supply of grain, fruit, meat and honey to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The demand for such products is worldwide, so we need to intensify work in this direction", - quotes Kadyrov, the press service of the regional administration.
According to local authorities, the total sown area of the Republic over the last five years has increased to 258 hectares.
